Currently our platform is geared toward K-8 students being taught by a literacy specialist in a structured literacy program. The flexibility of VTO allows for teachers and therapists to target reading practice directly to the instruction level of that student.

We are working on some intuitive self guided platforms for independent learners including adults.

When you sign up, you will be contacted by a member of our team to set up your account on the app website. Then, you will be able to set up student accounts under your log in (up to 20 students).

Once you have an account, you will log in (on the home page of vtoreading.com).

Then, Click Student Management.

Then, Add Student.

You will create a Username and Password that they will be able to remember and that you can use to assign lessons.  First names, initials, or a combination.  Passwords can be the school mascot, or your name.  Usernames can be any length, but passwords have to be 8 characters and include a number or symbol. 

Then you can create a lesson. For example if today is /s/-sock, then you should select all the phonemes in your deck: i, t, p, n.  Be sure to select the 10,000 most common word list.  If you also want to include Fry's words, just hold control and select. 

Once the selection is made, the list will be generated.  Future lessons will have your selection saved, so you only have to add the new phoneme-grapheme correspondence.  You will be able to see the student's responses and accuracy for every word.
